Jennifer Han is the Scholarship Coordinator at the Early Childhood Innovation Center at Delaware State University, where she manages scholarship opportunities for early childhood educators seeking to pursue an associate or bachelor’s degree. In this role, she advises prospective and enrolled students, as well as community members, on all aspects of degree scholarships, including eligibility and the application process. She also promotes collaborative relationships with institutions of higher education and serves as a liaison between students, community partners, and higher education institutions. In addition, Jennifer manages the scholarship program from outreach and eligibility determination to tracking student progress and coordinating scholarship-related activities, helping early childhood professionals access the educational opportunities they need to advance their careers.

Prior to joining Delaware State University, Jennifer served as Deputy Director of the Mental Health Association in Delaware. In that role, she worked with a variety of organizations and community partners dedicated to improving the mental well-being of Delawareans, including the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition. She also oversaw the agency’s programs and services, including wellness groups offered throughout the state, suicide prevention initiatives, mental health awareness presentations, and the Mental Health Court Peer Mentor Program.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has benefited from the guidance and encouragement of exceptional mentors who recognized her potential and provided opportunities for her to grow and succeed. She is passionate about paying that support forward by helping others access opportunities for professional and personal growth.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, in May 2009.
