Career Development CoordinatorCharles Anderson serves as the Career Development Coordinator for the Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC) at Delaware State University, supporting the career growth, development, and advancement of Delaware’s early childhood education workforce.
In this role, Charles leads the ECIC’s career development and advisement efforts, helping current and prospective early childhood professionals identify and navigate pathways toward their educational and career goals. His work includes individualized career advisement, career pathway planning, workforce preparation, and connecting professionals with opportunities such as the Child Development Associate (CDA®) credential, higher education, scholarships, professional qualifications, and other resources that support career advancement.
Charles works collaboratively across the ECIC programs and with statewide partners to strengthen connections among early childhood education, higher education, workforce development, credentialing, and employment. He engages with state agencies, colleges and universities, training providers, high schools, early childhood programs, and workforce partners to improve awareness of available pathways, identify barriers to advancement, and create stronger connections for individuals entering and progressing within the early childhood profession.
His work also includes developing and delivering career development programming, workshops, presentations, resources, and outreach initiatives. Through this work, Charles strives to help early childhood professionals recognize their existing strengths, understand the opportunities available to them, and develop actionable pathways for continued professional and career growth.
Charles brings experience in workforce development, career advisement, leadership, operations, and public service to his role at the ECIC.
