A new word spoken with confidence, a friendship formed in the classroom, or the courage to try something independently can become part of the foundation for lifelong learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patricia Sanchez-Aguilar has the privilege of witnessing these moments each day through her work with children ages 3 to 5 at New Castle County Head Start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWorking with children aged 3 to 5 at New Castle County Head Start has been one of the most enriching experiences of my professional life,\u201d Patricia shared. \u201cEvery day, I have the opportunity to support the children\u2019s growth, learning, and development during a pivotal stage of their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her work is guided by the belief that every child deserves a strong start filled with care, encouragement, opportunity, and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating a Place Where Children Can Thrive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patricia believes children learn best when they feel safe, respected, encouraged, and understood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creating that kind of environment requires more than teaching letters, numbers, and other basic concepts. It reflects her dedication to providing meaningful learning experiences that help children build the skills they need to succeed in school and throughout their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The credential has also encouraged her to continue reflecting on her work, strengthening her educational practices, and seeking new opportunities for professional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As she moves forward in her career, Patricia remains committed to learning and using her knowledge to provide high-quality care and education to every child she serves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Meaningful Moment of Recognition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patricia\u2019s achievement was recognized at the 2026 Delaware RISE Scholarship Recognition Ceremony, held on July 11 at Delaware State University. The event brought together scholars, families, coaches, and early childhood leaders to celebrate educators who reached significant milestones in their professional journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Patricia, the recognition represented the culmination of sustained learning, practical experience, and a deep commitment to the children and families she serves. It also reflected the encouragement she received from the people who supported her throughout the CDA\u00ae process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony marked more than the completion of a credential. It is strengthened through mentorship, teamwork, shared knowledge, and encouragement from people who understand the importance of early childhood education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each person who contributed to Patricia\u2019s journey helped her reach this milestone and inspired her to continue improving the experiences she creates for young children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building Strong Beginnings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patricia\u2019s story reflects the care and dedication early childhood educators bring into classrooms across Delaware every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their work helps children feel confident, supported, and prepared to take their next steps.
